THE TEN COMMANDEMENTS FOR A MINISTER’S WIFE This study has been referred to as being “practical, enlightening, humorous and liberating” as the role of a minister’s wife is viewed through Scriptural perspectives rather than congregational expectations. SOMETIMES I HAD RATHER BE A DOORKEEPER Sometimes “I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than to be the minister’s wife.” The majority of ministers’ wives have felt this at some point in their ministry. Based on Psalm 84:10, this witty study reveals how the blessings associated with being a minister’s wife far outweigh the “challenges.” THE COMMON DENOMINATORS OF THE MINISTRY In this study, Joy identifies some of the issues and challenges that are common to all those in the ministry. After the “common denominators” are identified, practical applications are provided for turning the “negatives” into “positives.” |
