Her name “Joy” says it all. An author and a popular speaker for women's
groups, churches, schools and businesses, Joy Brown has been referred to as a “
program planner's dream.” Her presentations cover a wide range of topics,
always biblically based and filled with practical principles for everyday
life.
Joy Brown is a gifted Bible teacher, a certified Personality presenter, an
entrepreneur, a dramatist, and an interpreter for the deaf.
Joy’s casual style immediately puts her audience at ease and leaves them
feeling as if they have always known her. Yet, at the same time, she maintains
a professional delivery. This combination is rare and is an asset for any
size group.
A minister’s wife for over forty years, Joy is the mother of two daughters,
Meri Beth (married to Thomas Howard) and Molly (married to Christman
Howard) and the proud grandmother of Ty, Mazi Grace, and a soon-to-be-born
grandson. She and her husband, Wayne, lead various types
of retreats, seminars, and workshops on the local, state and national
levels. Together they founded Diversified Ministries whose purpose is to provide
support for missionaries locally and around the world. In addition, Joy and
her daughters, Meri Beth (a dramatist) and Molly (a musician) have co-led
conferences creating a unique mother/daughter team.
Joy has written, co-written, or been a contributing writer of eleven books.
A former teacher of academically challenged students, Joy specialized in
education for the hearing impaired. In 1995, she created and developed a
popular cookie bouquet business, “Joy-Full Cookie Baskets.” Joy Brown is a
graduate of CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors, Speakers Services) and She Speaks,
the speakers' training of Proverbs 31 Ministries, and is a part of AWSA
(Advanced Writers, Speakers Association.)
All of these experiences combine with Joy's deep love for God's Word to
enable her to present programs that are informative and inspirational,
educational and encouraging, teaching and tender. Experience the “joy” of planning
a program that will become a memorable event. |
